James O. Maxfield

Mr. James O. Maxfield passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, at the age of 86 years and 4 months. James was born Jan. 31, 1925, in Paragould, Ark., & was the son of Hugh Maxfield and Cecil 'Tyner' Maxfield. Also preceding was a sister, Alice Mannie.

James was united in marriage to Helen Ayleen Gould on May 25, 1946. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary ! James was a US ARMY Veteran of World War II, earning two Purple Hearts and a member of Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post #5896. James was a longtime member of the Park Hills First Baptist Church; a former member of the Masonic Lodge and Owner/Operator of Jimmie's Cleaners in Park Hills for 40+ years.

Survivors Include: his wife, Helen Alyleen 'Gould' Maxfield, of Farmington; 2 Daughters: Diane (& Marvin) Reed, of Ironton; Kathy (& Randy) Donelson, of Springfield, MO. 1 Son: Jimmie Lynn (& Brenda) Maxfield, of Dolestown, PA. 2 Grandchildren: Julie (& Keith) McDowell, of Fenton, MO. & Joshua Donelson, of Springfield, MO. 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kelsey & Joel McDowell, of Fenton, MO. Also, 1 Niece, June Dexler, of Minnesota.

Visitation: Sunday, 5-8 p.m., with Memorial Service conducted by Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post #5896 @ 7:00 p.m.

Chapel Funeral : Monday, 11:00 a.m., June 6, 2011

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Evangelist Bernie Crum officiating.

Interment WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington, follows the chapel service with Patriot Guard Riders leading the funeral procession to the cemetery.
