Jamie Kathleen Sykes

Jamie Kathleen (Elliston) Sykes (55) of Middlebrook, MO, died on 7 Oct,2014 in St Louis, MO following a brief hospitalization after a long illness. Jamie was born 3 Sep 1959 in Hugo, CO and was the youngest sister to 6 brothers who all loved her fiercely. Jamie married Allan Sykes on 12 May 1979; they enjoyed the past 36 years committed to each other. They made their home in Vallejo, CA for 20 years. Jamie put her green thumb to work as the lead gardener in the butterfly house as well as other animal enclosure exhibits at Marine World. Following Allan's retirement in 2008 the couple moved to Snow Hollow Lake where Jamie fished, gardened, and star-gazed. They live with their son Cody, and his daughter Alyson who had many fun Girls Night's with grandma. She attended church at Iron Mountain First Baptist. Jamie will be remembered for her love, joyful exuberance, and playful pranks.
