Janet Faye Oxendine of Annapolis, Missouri passed away November 10, 2022 in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 73 years. She was born July 3, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late Elmer Howard and Mary Belle (Johnson) Morris. Jan wed James A. Oxendine on February 4, 1967 and they spent almost 56 wonderful years together. Jan is mother to David Oxendine (Stacy) of Maryville, Illinois, and Tracy Kelley (Rich Brummett) of Ironton, Missouri. She is grandmother to Brittni Cosgrove (Ryan), Joshua Rainey (Kiah), Lauren Rainey, Zachary Oxendine (Callie), Chase Kelley (fiancé Johnelle Earnest) and great grandmother to Shepherd Rainey, Everleigh Kelley, Callum Rainey, Cameron Cosgrove, and Baby Girl Kelley coming soon. In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her sister, Karen Krueger. Janet was a graduate of Cleveland High School in St. Louis, Missouri. She has worked in many capacities serving others including grade school librarian, Sunday School teacher, Emergency Medical Technician, and most recently serving as office manager for her husband Jim when they lived in Florida, and he worked doing insurance claims. She knits caps for all the children in South Iron from pre-K to 6th grade. She loved doing crafts, especially with her children and grandchildren. She was a best friend to countless numbers from Illinois, to Missouri, to Tennessee, to Florida. Above all, Jan’s family came first, and she loved her time with them. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Annapolis. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Annapolis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Global Outreach of Haiti.
