With heavy hearts, Jeannine Ragsdale, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and sister passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on October 9, 2026, at the age of 80.
Jeannine was born on August 4, 1946, in Bonne Terre, Missouri to Vernon and Lilllian (McClard) Wells. Jeannine was a devoted wife of 44 yrs. Notably cherished by her husband Douglas Ragsdale. She was a devoted, loving and supportive mother to two daughters, Lori Lane and Tricia Lane, and was an adoring grandmother to her grandchildren, including Taylor (Kelly) Burch and Drew (Raven) Jaco. The joy and love she brought into their lives is reflected in the hearts of her great-grandchildren; Tucker Jaco, Blair Burch, Raylea Jaco, Sage Jaco, and Brett Burch. She will be remembered as the elegant caring matriarch who decorated their lives with laughter and love. Jeannine is also survived by her sister Dorinda (Phil,“Butch”) Hammack, and brother-in-law, Greg (Mary) Ragsdale, in addition to a multitude of nieces and nephews and other family members who will carry forth her memory with love and fond remembrance. A few of Jeannine biggest joys were girls’ day family shopping trips, browsing for Knick knacks at Home Goods and lunch at O’le Charleys. She also loved Christmas and making memories of pizza and burger nights with Taylor and Drew and doting on them as they grew up. Her greatest joy was the love she had for the Lord.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Lillian Wells. Jeannine’s family would like to send a special appreciation to Serenity Hospice, Dr. Evan Williams, and Parkland nurses at ICU for taking care of them during such a sensitive time.
The family will be holding private services at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Dr. Bradford Laubinger will be officiating. A private interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
