Jerry C. Mccown

Jerry McCown, age 92, of Terre Du Lac, passed away June 6, 2011 at his home. He was born in Marion, Illinois on June 26, 1918, the son of Jerry C McCown and Maude (Corder) McCown. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; also his step-daughter, Sharon Ann Bartley. Jerry is survived by his wife, Maxine H McCown of 56 years; two sons, Michael (Sandi) and James (Judy); one step-son, Garrett Keithly (Sonja Sue); special step-son in-law Rondal Bartley; seven grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) McCown, Laura (Michael) Davis, Linda (Tom) Herrmann, Sondra Kay (Marty) McClanahan, Steven Bartley, Karen (Jim Guttormson, and Diane Black.; and nine great-grandchildren Shaun, Jeffrey, Emily, James, Kyle, Nick, Austin, Heather, Joshua; as well as two great great-grandchildren Alaura and Gavin. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre. He was a retired employee of Monsanto Company in St. Louis, Mo. Jerry was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be follow at 1 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev.
