Jesse Clifton Chamberlain Jr. of Arcadia, Missouri, passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 76 years. He was born on September 11, 1948, in Doe Run, Missouri, the son of the late Jesse Clifton Chamberlain Sr. and Helen (Ransom) Chamberlain. On May 18, 1968, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lois Victoria Harbison. They were married for fifty-six years and together they raised four children: Jesse Chamberlain III (Jill) of Ironton, Missouri; Frank Chamberlain (Sandi) of Bismarck, Missouri; Sheila Walka (John) of Wellsville, Missouri; and Shannon Chamberlain (Teresia Dement) of Arcadia, Missouri. Jesse was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Kayla Steele and Ryan and their daughter Vera Lois Steele; Dylan Chamberlain and Brittni and their son, Walker Creek Chamberlain; Shanna Lewis and Dustin; Jessica Smith and Austin; Colton Chamberlain; Dante Chamberlain; and Makayla Moise. Jesse is survived by three brothers: Jerry Chamberlain (the late Jo) of Farmington, Missouri; Richard Chamberlain (Carolyn “Sue”) of Doe Run, Missouri; and Terry Chamberlain of Florida, and his sister: Nancy Lynn (the late Gary) of Farmington, Missouri. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Judith Tinsley. Jesse was a journeyman trimmer working for the Shade Tree tree service until his retirement 18 years ago. Not one to sit around, he spent the last 18 years working with his son, Jesse in the lawn care and snow removal business. Jesse loved to work on cars and tinker in the garage. He cherished his 1962 Oldsmobile Spitfire, identical to the one he had when he met Vickie. Jesse was an avid collector of license plates, amassing 1,866 plates that cover his garage, a local landmark. Above all, family was special to Jesse, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Logan officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arcadia Valley Assembly of God Church.
