Jesse Robert 'Bob' Underwood

Jesse "Bob" Underwood, age 78 of Farmington, Missouri (formerly of Fredericktown) passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his daughters home in Farmington. He was born on August 24, 1937 in Madison County, Missouri, a son of John and Roxie (Cox) Underwood. He was united in marriage to Joan (Allen) Underwood, she preceded him in death on September 23, 2015, his parents and one brother - John "Jen" Underwood and one sister - Joan Reed also precedes him. Those surviving include: one daughter & son-in-law - Maria & Roger Shepherd of Farmington; one son & daughter-in-law - Calvin (Susan) Underwood of St. Joe, Missouri; two grandchildren - Amber Gonz of Farmington and Brandon (Katherine) Underwood of Columbia, Missouri. Jess was a United States Army veteran serving in the187th Airbourne Division; he was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Madison Lodge 172 in Fredericktown for over 35 years serving as State of Missouri Brigudere General Patriarchs Militant, Odd Fellows Rebekah Lodge Decoration of Chivalry Medal Pin and The Swordmanship Pin. Jess  enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved going to Hardee's for coffee; he also had a fondness for ice cream sandwiches and was a member of the God's Country Cowboy Church in Fredericktown. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Francis officiating.
