James Dean Coffman, 84, of Lexington, South Carolina went home to be with his Lord in Heaven October 27, 2018 at the Caroll Campbell Place in Lexington.  James was born October 15, 1934 in Leadington, Missouri to the late Leeman and Virginia "Virgie" (Mabuce) Coffman.

 

James "Jim" was a graduate of the University of Missouri - Rolla.  He worked for AT&T and affiliates for 30 years, retiring as Regional V.P.  Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He was a member of Lexington Baptist Church, Gideons International, Telephone Pioneers club and was very active in Promise Keepers and the Prison Ministries in Mountain Home, Arkansas.  He had a heart for inner city ministries, especially in Little Rock, AR.

 

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carol Ann (Brokaw) Coffman; two daughters, Lynne Ann (Aaron) Brace of Lexington, SC, and Holly Michelle (Steven) Woodland of Ballwin, MO;  seven grandchildren, Alexander William Brace, Andrew James Brace, Gabriel Philip Hart, Noah Kenneth Hart, Mary-Meili Rose Brace, Jaxson Alexander Duft, and Bentley Steven Woodland; one sister, Virginia Alice Adams; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, 2645 Hwy. 62 SW, Mountain Home, AR, 72653.  Visitation will resume at the church, Tuesday at 9 am, until time of the service at 10 am with Rev. Bill Hughes officiating.  The Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Farmington, MO.  Memorials may be to Promise Keepers at PO Box 63570, Colorado Springs, CO.  80962 or to The Gideons International at 5106 Two Notch Rd. # B, Columbia, SC 29204.  Arrangements are under the care of C.Z.
