Jim Holdman, 74, recently of St. Marys, Georgia, formerly of Leadwood, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 26, 1945 in Frankclay to the late Eugene Jerphie and Gertrude Goldie (Owens) Holdman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Donald Holdman; sisters-in-law Lucy Hale and Eileen Holdman, and in-laws Dorothy and Harold Johnson.
Jimmy proudly served in the United States Navy as a chaplain’s assistant for twenty years. He was recently elected to serve on the vestry at Christ Episcopal Church in St. Marys, Georgia, as junior warden. He and his wife Janet were received as members of the Episcopal Church in spring 2016. Jim enjoyed cooking for his family, especially his famous Chicken N’ Dumplings. He enjoyed spending time with his pup Jameson and watching Jeopardy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Lee (Johnson) Holdman; their children Jodi Holdman (wife Monica), Jayme Holdman(wife Tammy), and Josh Holdman (wife Jen). His grandchildren Jenn Carter, Chandler Wells (Michael), Logan Wells. He was blessed to proudly meet and know his first great-grandchild Everett Eldon Pfiffer. He is also survived by his five siblings, Bonnie, Beverly, Carolyn, Darrell and Travis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 10:00 AM until Service time of 11:00 AM at the Leadwood Church of God with Rev. Ed Watson officiating. Interment to follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
