Jimmie “Gale” Dennison of Pilot Knob, Missouri passed away December 22, 2021, at his residence at the age of 85 years. He was born June 26, 1936, in Marine, Illinois the son of the late John and Edna (Adams) Dennison. On October 15, 1961, he was united in marriage to Linda Lue Kimbel who survives. To this union two children were born: Michael Dennison (Leanne) of Paducah, Kentucky and Shelly Monette Dennison who preceded him in death as an infant. Gale is also survived by three grandsons: Nicholas, Jacob, and Austin Dennison and his sister, Georgia Blankenship of Ironton, Missouri as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ozeline Standley. Gale was a graduate of Bonne Terre High School. He was a member of the Farmington Assembly of God Church. He served his country in the United States Navy for thirty-three years – four years active duty and twenty-nine years in the reserves. Gale was the owner of Gale’s Heating and Cooling which he founded in 1973. He was a past member of the Arcadia Valley Elks Club and served as Exalted Ruler. He served his community by serving as a volunteer for the Arcadia Fire Department and as an alderman for the City of Arcadia. He loved airplanes and was building his own plane prior to his illness. Gale also loved NASCAR and worked at some of the NASCAR races. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park with full military honors.
