Joan Helena Thompson

Joan Helena Thompson, age 72 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Community Manor Care Center in Farmington, Missouri. She was born on January 12, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to Eli Thorman and Hazel (McNail) Jowett. On July 25, 1964 in St. Louis she was united in marriage to Carl Wayne Thompson "Butch", he survives in Fredericktown. Other survivors include: one daughter Christine (James) Voiles of Park Hills, Missouri; one son – Matthew Thompson of St. Louis; one brother – Robert "Bob" Jowett of Fredericktown; three grandchildren – Kaitlyn Thompson, Dylan Thompson and Lanie Thompson. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Butch Thompson and six siblings, Michael Jowett, Thorman Jowett, Danny Jowett, Bernie Jowett, Judy Walker and Debbie Jowett. Joan had worked in the housekeeping/laundry department at Alexian Brothers Nursing Home in St. Louis; she enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, music and being outdoors; she was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in St. Louis. Visitation will be from 11:00 - 12:00 on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown with a memorial service at 12:00. Condolences may be posted on this website.
