Joe Briley

            Joe Briley, 72, of Park Hills, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 25, 1946 in St. Louis to the late Clyde W. and Goldie (Glore) Briley. Joe proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5741 in Leadington, Masonic Craftsman Lodge #717 in St. Louis, Shriners, Scottish Rites and D.A.V #12. He retired from General Motors Company, as a parts counterman.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Briley; three brothers, Paul, Robert and Jack Briley; two sisters, Zelda Adler and Ruby Randolph.

            Joe is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia (Hardy) Briley; one daughter, Karen Perniciaro; one son, Shane Hampton and wife Brandi; four grandchildren, Shelby, Landen, Seva, Logan; two great-grandsons, Grayson and Graham; two brothers, Jim Briley and Clyde Briley Jr. and wife Barbara; one sister, Sue Todd and husband Roger along with many other extended family and friends. Joe enjoyed hunting, going to auctions, working on projects in his garage, talking to people and making new friends.  

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a Masonic Service at 6:30 PM. The visitation will resume at 12:00 PM, Friday, January 25, 2019 in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, until service time at 1:00 PM. Reverend Eddie Bone will be officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington, with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to Disabled Veterans, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners.
