Mr. Joel W. Botkin passed away Dec. 14, 2004, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor at the age of 84 years, 4 months & 1 day. Joel was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Centerville, to Warrany O'Donnell Botkin & Lesie 'Sherrill' Botkin. Also preceding-in-death were: 1 Sister, Wilma Conway & 1 Brother, Willard Botkin.

Joel was a member of Sunnyview Church of Christ, Farmington.

Survivors Include: his wife, Ernestine 'Gastineau' Botkin; his children: Gary (& Sharon) Botkin, of Fenton; Brenda (Mrs. Mike) Schaeffer, of St. Louis; Kim (Mrs. Van) McCain, of Ste. Genevieve. 1 Brother: Edward (& Berta Fae) Botkin, of St. Louis. 6 Grandchildren: Michael (& Jennifer) Botkin; Melinda Botkin (Mrs. Paul) Meister; Kristina Schaeffer (Mrs. Joe) Steiger; Carey Schaeffer; Amy Schaeffer & Jill McCain (Mrs. Joe) Costello. Also surviving: 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kaitlyn & Cole Steiger.

Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 pm. Visitation resumes Friday morning at 7 am & funeral Friday, 10:30 am, Dec. 17th at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Minister Jerry Reynolds officiating. Interment follows in Centerville Cemetery in Centerville, Missouri.
