John Dane Sr.

          John Dane, 67, of Park Hills, passed away January 24, 2023, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington.  He was born February 11, 1955, in Bonne Terre, to the late Claude William and Zelda Lorraine (Wray) Dane.  John was a member of the Living Water Community Church in Desloge and Former President of the United Steal Workers Local.  He enjoyed coaching, pitching softball, hunting, fishing, collecting guns, and collecting a lot of things.  John loved muscle cars and Harley Davidsons, but most of all, spending time with his family. His biggest joy was to be PaPa to his grandchildren.      

          He was preceded in death by his parents; Nancy (Forshee) Dane; sister, Sandra Vance and brother, Danny Dane.        

          John is survived by his wife, Diane (Dodd) Dane; children, John Dane, Jr. and wife Lara, Amanda Dane; grandchildren, Tyler Dane, Olivia Dane, Evan Dane, Rylie Lakes and Parker Lakes; five siblings, Ronald Dane (Pauline), Donald Dane (Lisa), Steve Dane, Tammy Kernan (Chuck) and Jerry Dane (Connie); sister-in-law, Linda Dane; several nieces, nephews, other family and church family also survives.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, on Monday, January 30, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Visitation will resume on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge from 11:00 am until service time of 12:00 pm with Pastor Ronnie Dane officiating. Inurnment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bonne Terre.
