John Lavern Gannon

John Lavern Gannon of Boss, Missouri passed away May 29, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 82 years. He was born November 20, 1941 in Murphysboro, Illinois the son of the late John William and Mary Pearl (Calahan) Gannon. John is survived by his son: Shane Gannon and wife, Nikki of Belleview, Missouri, his daughter; Anna Reed of Oates, Missouri. He was preceded in death by four children: Cameron Gannon, William Selle, Colleen Bennett, and Kenneth Selle. John is also survived by his brother: Daniel Gannon of Centralia, Illinois, his sister Becky Gannon of Chester, Illinois, twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. John served our country in the United States Army. He worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections until he retired as a Sargent after twenty-six years of service. John was a very organized man who enjoyed working outside. He loved all animals but especially his cats. He enjoyed watching Cardinal baseball, the Kansas City Chiefs and the St....
