OBITUARY FORM

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Paul Jones, 64, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, who left us on April 6, 2026. He was born on February 13, 1962, in Ironton to the late Joel Lester and Margie Alberta (Hampton) Jones-Wells. John was a Christian and attended Pleasant View Assembly of God Church prior to his declining health.

John was known for his work as a truck driver in the transportation industry, and he lived life to the fullest with a passion for shooting skeet and a love for watching CSI and classic westerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Matthew Mark Jones in infancy, Mary Jones, Sally Weiss, Johan Jones, Lorrie Jones and Harvey Jones.

John is survived by one son, John Caleb Jones and eight siblings, Fanny Lesh, Margie Taylor (Wayne), Debbie Nash (Wyman), Judy Flores (Lad), Joel L. Jones, Jr., Donna Beck (Terry), David Jones (Sheril Ann) and Gabe Jones; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.

Memorial Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
