John Edward Markham

John Edward Markham of Ironton, Missouri passed away July 20, 2016 at his home at the age of 84 years. He was born September 21, 1931 in Chloride, Missouri the son of the late Allen and Hattie (Knight) Markham. On January 25, 1952 he was united in marriage to Evelyn (Toland) Markham who survives. To this union seven children were born; Debra Griffin of Knob Lick, Missouri, Richard Markham of Pilot Knob, Missouri, Rena Markham of Park Hills, Missouri, Brian Markham of St. Louis, Missouri, Cheryl King of Annapolis, Missouri, John Markham of Ferguson, Missouri, and Kimberly Phegley of Hogan, Missouri. In addition to his wife of sixty-four years and his children, John is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, six sisters; Dorothy Cashen, Nellie Crowe, Dixie Risher, Theresa Standford, Carrie Lewis, and Roberta Ellis as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
