John Lee Parres

John Lee Parres, 86, of Park Hills, MO passed away on September 26, 2025, at Country Meadows in Park Hills. He was born March 8, 1939, to the late William and Annie Parres. John was a member of the Old Farts Club Coffee Group at Hardee’s in Bonne Terre. He loved making walking sticks and was an avid storyteller and was great at it.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margaret “Darlene” (Dell) Parres; siblings, Pat, Herman and Rosella.

John is survived by his children, Barbara Schultz and husband Bill, Connie Pinson, Steve Parres; grandchildren, Bruce (Lori) Schultz, Ben (Jill) Schultz, Timmy Pinson, Gaige Joplin; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Crosby, Philip; sister, Jeannette (Jim) O’Dell.

Visitation will be held at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 29, 2025, at noon until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francois County Ambulance District. Arrangements were under the care and direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son in Bonne Terre. MO.
