Johnny Edward Maness Jr.

Johnny Edward Maness Jr, age 61, of Steelville, passed away Wednesday, June 09, 2021, at his residence in Steelville, Missouri. He was born on Monday, October 5, 1959, to the late John E. Maness, Sr. and Mae L. Pruitt (Johnson). He was preceeded in death by his, Grandfather, Roy Henan Maness of Potosi, Missouri. Stepfather Leroy C. Johnson of Bonne Terre, Missouri.

             He is survived by his loving children Jonathan (Chrissy) Maness of Viburnun, Missouri. Dawn Ware of Steelville, Missouri. Nick Maness of Vandalia, Illinois. Grandchildren; David Maness, Ethan Mayes, Austin Mayes, Cara Ware, Blake Ware, Daisy Monks, Justin Maness, Brianna Maness, Mckayla Maness, Dalton, Maness, Ryan Maness, and Michelle Maness. Three Great-Grandchildren. Siblings; Shirley (William) Gowen of Bonne Terre, Missouri, William “Bunny” (Linda) Maness of Cadet Missouri, Verna (David) Eckhoff of Bonne Terre, Lisa (John) Norris of Desloge, Missouri and Beverly (Victor) McCosar. Stepmother; Blanche Maness of Cadet Missouri. Several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Johnny proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves as a Combat Engineer. He also was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. Johnny loved classic cars listening to music and working on vehicles.

           Visitation will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre from 12:00 PM until service time of 1:00 PM with Rev. Michael Barton Jr. officiating. Memorial can be made to C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home for Funeral expenses.
