Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny Edward Vallo, on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Johnny was born on Saturday, August 12, 1950, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late George J. Vallo and Mary F. (Freeman) Pitts. He spent many years of his life in Farmington, where he became a respected correction officer at the Farmington Correction Center. Johnny was a simple, easy-going man who found his greatest happiness in the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and felt most at peace surrounded by nature. Country living suited him well, and he embraced a quiet life rooted in simplicity and appreciation for the land.

Johnny was known for his laid-back nature and steady presence. He didn't need much to be content-fresh air, open space, and time outdoors were enough. Those who knew him will remember his calm spirit, his love for the simple things, and the way he made others feel at ease. He is survived by his beloved sister, Gladys Ramsey, along with many nieces, nephews and friends who will cherish their memories together. Along with Johnny's parent's he was preceded by his sisters, Georgia Mackley and Frances Bingham; brothers-in-laws, Bill Mackley and David C. Ramsey. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
