It is with a heart full of both sorrow and celebration that we announce the passing of Jordan Tyler Wells, a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, who left this world on February 23, 2026, at the age of 35. Jordan was born on November 23, 1990, in Festus, to Jerry Lynn and Marcia Ann (Davis) Wells. He was a resident of Farmington, formerly Valles Mines, where he touched the lives of many with his unwavering faith, pure and gentle spirit.
Jordan was a devoted member of Parkland Chapel in Farmington, where his love for Christ radiated throughout his family and community. In August 2021, he married the love of his life, Jessie Vance, reconnecting after meeting at Southeast Missouri State University. Their love story blossomed quickly; they were engaged after just three months and married after ten months. Together, they welcomed two beautiful sons who became the absolute joys of Jordan's life. Their once-in-a-lifetime love and devotion to each other radiated with joy and inspired all who knew them to be the best version of themselves.
An outdoor enthusiast, Jordan found solace and adventure in trail running and hiking, often carrying his son in a backpack to share those moments in nature. Jordan cherished every moment spent with his family and saw humanity in everything. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others through his kindness, compassion and witty character. Jordan loved floating local rivers, drone photography and video games, but above all, his greatest happiness stemmed from being a devoted Christian, husband and father.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Paul Davis and paternal grandparents, Walter “Sonny” and Alice Wells.
Jordan is survived by his faithful wife and soulmate, Jessica “Jessie” (Vance) Wells; two sons, John Benjamin (2 years) and Beau Matthew Wells (9 months); parents, Jerry and Marcia Wells; sister, Jessica Lynn Mell and husband Luke; nephews, Reid and Tyler Mell; parents in-law, Trent and Tina Vance; brother in-law, Ben Vance and wife Marlee; maternal grandmother, Ruth Davis; several other family members, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends also survive.
A memorial visitation will be held at Parkland Chapel in Farmington, Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM until the celebration of life at 4:00 PM. Pastor Mike Harrison will be officiating, assisted by Pastor Wes Denham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be directed to Venmo, @Jessie-Wells21 to benefit John and Beau. Contributions may also be made directly to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
A man as good as Jordan leaves a big hole in our lives. Rest in peace, dear Jordan. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
