Joseph David Mitchell

Joseph David Mitchell, age 64,  of Bonne Terre, passed away June 8, 2021 at his residence.  He was born July 22, 1956 in St. Louis to the late John and Ruth (Barnett) Mitchell.   He is preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Donald Mitchell; two sisters, Patty Black and Edith Collins; half-brother, Junior Mitchell; several nieces and nephews.

Joseph was a member of the Leadwood Masonic Lodge. He was a commercial roofer and was a member of the Local #2 Roofers Union. He loved to go hunting, motorcycle riding, and was an avid outdoorsman. 

Joseph is survived by his wife, Susan Mitchell, four daughters and two sons, Ethel Rowden, Veena Mitchell, Scott LaChance, Joe (Stephanie) Mitchell, Lisa (Steve) Otto, Crystal Shell; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Johnny (Billie) Mitchell, two sisters, Ruth Ann Helton, and Mary Bergen; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

There will be memorial gathering 2 pm,  Friday June 18, 2021 with a Masonic Ceremony to follow at 3 pm at the Leadwood Masonic Lodge.  Arrangements are under the care of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home.
