Listen to Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Allen Williams, who left us too soon on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the age of 19. Born on Thursday, November 2, 2006, in Farmington, Missouri. Josh’s life was a radiant light that touched the hearts of many.

Josh was a dedicated member of the Roofers Local Union No. 2, where he was a promising apprentice, learning the trade with enthusiasm and determination. His talent extended beyond his work to his passion for cars, particularly his cherished BMW. Joshua had a natural knack for mechanics and loved spending hours tinkering and perfecting his vehicle.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Allen Williams; Uncle Braddon Taylor Williams; Great grandparents, Amos and Doris Blunt, Caroline Gowen Loring and Robert and Connie Pirtle.

An avid participant in life, he found joy in the outdoors, enjoying camping, fishing, and engaging in activities like pickleball and video games. Joshua's love for sports was evident during his school years when he played baseball and football with great pride and enthusiasm. He also embraced fitness, regularly hitting the gym to stay active and strong. His quirky love for shoes, especially his prized white sneakers, was just one of the many endearing facets of his vibrant personality.

Joshua was known not just for his interests and talents, but for the remarkable kindness he showed to everyone around him. He had a caring heart, always ready to help those in need and making it a point to include others in every moment. He saw the best in everyone, reminding us all of the beauty in compassion and community.

Above all, Joshua cherished his family and was a source of immense joy for his grandparents. He had a close-knit group of friends, and in recent times, he was beginning to cultivate deeper connections, particularly with the girls he admired. His zest for life and ability to create lasting memories will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Cassandra Kailene Williams, his beloved father Taylor Lynn Blunt and fiancé Jordan Anderson; who will hold his memory close as a beacon of love and strength. Three siblings, Emalyn Ellis, Elijah and Weylyn Fortner; cherished grandparents that will miss Josh deeply, Jeffery and Deidre Blunt and Angela Blakeley; bonus grandparents, Steve Scherffius and wife Monica; Uncle, Tyler Merz, Aunt Courtney Pennington and husband Uncle Jacob; Great Uncle Roger Blunt (Louis); along with lots of very close friends, cousins and family members that were dear to Josh’s heart.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Visitation will resume Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. until funeral service of 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rick Hensley officiating. Burial will follow where Josh will be laid to rest at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. In this time of reflection, let us remember Josh as a beacon of light who brought joy to our lives with his genuine heart and unwavering kindness. He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
