Joy (Jay) Emil Stewart

Mr. Joy (Jay) Emil Stewart passed away Wednesday evening, April 21, 2010, at his Farmington residence at the age of 81 years, 4 months & 5 days. Joy was born on December 16, 1928, in St. Louis, MO., & was the son of Fount H. Stewart and Beulah E. 'Counts' Stewart. Also preceding in death were: a brother, Paul M. Stewart, and a sister-in-law: Doris Stewart.

Joy was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Bismarck. He was a US ARMY Veteran of World War II and member, LePere-McCallister American Legion Post #416 of Farmington.

Survivors Include: his wife, Charlene Helen 'Grose' Stewart, of Farmington. 2 Daughters: Linda 'Mrs. Tom' Huber, of St. Louis, and Sandra Parker, of St. Louis. Step-Daughter: Diane Klingler, of Columbia, MO. 3 Sons: Joe (& Sharon) Stewart, of Dallas, TX; Jim (& Melody) Stewart, of Ellington, MO., & John (& Karla) Stewart, of West Frankfort, IL. 2 Step-Sons: Dennis (& Lynne) Schmoele, of Ste.Genevieve and Stephen Schmoele, of Ste. Genevieve. Also surviving are 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren and a host of Nieces; Nephews and friends.

Joy's family would like to publicly express their appreciation to Dr. John Hartman and MARMC Home Health & HospiceCare, Inc., for the wonderful care that they have given.

Visitation starts Saturday @ 9:00 a.m.

Funeral : Saturday, 11:00 a.m., April 24, 2010,

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Elder Miriam Counts officiating.

Graveside Services : Saturday, 1:30 p.m., April 24, 2010, at the R.L.D.S. Cemetery in Reynolds County, MO.
