Joyce Jean Toombs

Joyce Jean Toombs, age 76, of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Ozark Manor Care Center in Fredericktown. She was born on February 20, 1947, in Patterson, Missouri to Amos and Mary Louise (Copeland) Pogue.

She was united in marriage to Mike Toombs, he preceded her in death.

Those surviving include her three sons – Wayne Wood and Cassie of Park Hills, Missouri, Dan Wood and Robyn of Farmington, Missouri and Jim Wood and Michele of Park Hills; two brothers – Jim Pogue and Nelda of Alabama and Bill Pogue and Jackie of Patterson; one sister – Kay Pogue of Springfield, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one daughter – Pamela Wood and one son – Jack E. Wood.

Joyce was a Certified Nurse's Aide working in Stockhoff Nursing Home and Ozark Manor; she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and working with crafts.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., also on Saturday, May 13, 20232 at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Coke officiating.
