Judy Warthen

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Judy Warthen, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who left this world on June 27, 2026, at the age of 76. Judy was born on July 28, 1949, in Cadet, to the late Leslie Jackson and Alice Dora (DeClue) Lucas. 

Judy's life was filled with love and passion. She found joy in collecting dolls, indulging in her favorite “Lifetime” movies, and, prior to her health challenges, exploring new places. Her adventurous spirit led her to beautiful Arkansas, and she enjoyed camping, searching for antiques, and browsing flea markets. Above all, Judy’s heart belonged to her beloved Yorkie, Maggie, and her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Lee Warthen; siblings, Beanie Lucas, Frankie Lucas, Jesse Lucas, Sue Coleman, Mildred Boyster, Janet Warthen, Nettie Pettus; and special friend, Bill Barker.

Judy is survived by children, Tim Warthen and wife Cecilia, Shannon Warthen (Jeremy McCarty), Brian Warthen and wife Tetyana Yamilova; grandchildren, Kalua Usher (Tim), Kara Kline (Donald), Brianna Warthen (fiancé, Devin Brawley), Makensey Hallin (Dillon), Karlee Warthen, Blake Zahner and Brilee Warthen; twelve great-grandchildren; two siblings, Glenda Box and husband David and Gerald Lucas; sisters in-law, Evelyn Lucas, Mary Bame, Rose and husband Steve; along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Guy Conway will be officiating. Interment will follow at Sparks Cemetery in Lonedell.
