Listen to Obituary

Judith Helen “Judy” Wilmer, 86, of Farmington passed away November 8, 2025 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington. She was born June 30, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Charles and Grace (Neuhaus) Ferrel.

She was a proud and passionate Cubs fan who loved everything about Chicago. At home, she found joy in tending to and arranging the flowers in her yard, creating beauty wherever she could. She enjoyed spending quiet moments reading, watching old movies, and especially singing along to her favorite musicals. Known by all as one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet, she always saw the good in every situation—her glass was truly always full. She never had a bad word to say about anyone or anything, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She was also well known for her delicious potato salad and tuna creamette salad, which were staples at family gatherings and loved by all.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herby C. Wilmer; and sister, Diane Tremblay.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Amy Wilmer (Glen Banzso); two grandchildren, Matthew Ruttenberg and Samantha Ruttenberg Miranda (Alex); one great-grandson, A.J. Miranda; sister-in-law, Betty Trawinski. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
