Junior C. Stroup

Mr. Junior C. Stroup passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 8, 2006, at his Farmington residence at the age of 71 years, 10 months & 1 day. Junior was born in Ellington, MO., on Oct. 7, 1934, & was the son of Jesse Elvins Stroup & Gladys Mahalia 'Burns' Stroup. Also preceding-in-death were: 1 Son, David Ray Stroup (1978); & 1 Brother, Harley Dale Stroup.

Junior was a: * longtime mechanic in the Farmington-area & his last employment was with the City of Farmington as their Maintenance Superintendent, retiring in 1987; * a member of the Delassus Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon & Sunday School Superintendent for numerous years & * a US ARMY Veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors Include: his wife: Lulu Mae 'White' Stroup, of Farmington; 1 Son: Stephen J. (& Sherri) Stroup, of Farmington; 2 Grandchildren: Derek Joe Stroup & Haley Rae Stroup, both of Farmington; 2 Sisters: Louise 'Mrs. Jack' Bushart, of Barnhart, MO & Mary Lou 'Mrs. Johnny' McNail, of Centerville, MO. 2 Brothers: Norman Stroup, of Mineral Wells, TX & Charles Stroup, of Ellington, MO. 1 Aunt: Daisy Williams, of Cedar Hill, MO; 1 Uncle: Chris (& Opal) Burns, of St. Louis. Also surviving are several Nieces; Nephews; Cousins & a host of friends & other relatives.

Visitation: Wednesday, 4:30 - 9 pm. Visitation resumes Thursday 7-8:30 am.

Funeral: Thursday, 11 am, Aug. 10, 2006
