Karen Marie Fischer, age 72 passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at her home in Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born on November 1, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Arthur Henry and Rose Marie (Leopold) Schmitt.
On September 22, 1962 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kimmswick, Missouri she was united in marriage to Robert Frank "Bob" Fischer, he survives at the home.
Other survivors include: one son - Richard (Salina) Fischer of Marquand, Missouri; two daughters - Tammy (John) Leist of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Jeannette (Don) Gau of Chaonia Village, Missouri; three brothers - Arthur "Skip" (Connie) Schmitt Jr. of Imperial, Missouri, Jerry Harmon of the state of Kentucky and Joseph (Lesia) Catlow of Farmington, Missouri; six grandchildren - Ryan Joseph Donald Gau, Adam Christopher (Myrissa) Gau, Nathan Scot Vomund, Trenton Ronald Beck, Ellie Marie Lalumondiere and Matthew Robert Fischer; four great-grandchildren - Marvin Ryan Joseph Gau, Aaron Isaiah Gau, Balian Christopher Gau and Baby Gau (due August 2017). Her parents and their angel Annette Marie Fischer (9/24/63 - 10/25/63) and brother - Robert McClary precedes her in death.
Karen was a self employeed cake decorator; a stamp collector and doll seamstress and was of the catholic faith.
A private memorial service may be held at a later date.
