Karen Roney-Schnabel, 72, of Kaiser, passed away peacefully September 1, 2024, at Potosi Manor. She was born May 26, 1952, in Bonne Terre, to the late James and Cleta Opal (Blankenship) Roney. Karen is a member of the Eastside Church of God in Leadwood. She enjoyed social events and looked forward to family gatherings and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert Lee Schnabel; siblings, Donald Roney and Joan Brewer, sister in-law, Rhonda Roney; brother in-law, Lynn Barton.

Karen is survived by eleven siblings; brothers, Jimmy (Mirlene) Roney, Arthur (Merry) Roney, Frank Roney, Darren (Tammy) Roney, Dennis (Kelly) Roney; sisters, Sharon Roney, Cleta (Leslie) Cash, Kathy (Danny) Horton, Kerry (David) Glore, Shirley (Danny) Peoples, Mary (Mike) Coleman; several nieces, nephews, other family member and friends also survive. 

A visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Leadwood, Friday, October 18, 2024, from 4:00 PM until the service time of 5:00 PM. Pastor Ryan Retzer will be officiating. Inurnment will be held at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice in Park Hills or Dress to Impress in Farmington.
