Karen Sue Hooks

            Karen Sue Hooks, age 69, of Bonne Terre, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her residence. She was born Monday, October 10, 1949 to the late Wilbur F. and Winona (Woolems) Hooks in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonne Terre.

            In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her sister, Laura Jean Hooks and brother-in-law, Michael Barker.

           She is survived by her sisters, Rebecca “Becky” Barker, Melissa and husband Dan Mabery, Sr., and Michele and husband Rusty Mauldin; Uncle Billie Hooks and wife Mary; Aunt Melrose Hooks; nieces and nephews, Danny Mabery Jr. and wife Dawn, Angela Nelson and fiancé Jeff, James Mabery and girlfriend Janelle, Jeannette Kelley and husband Mike, Kacy Robinson and husband Alex, Bryan Mauldin and wife Samantha, and Carissa Mauldin; great nieces and great nephews; and other family and friends.

            There will be a memorial visitation held on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 11 AM until service time of 12 PM at The First Baptist Church in Bonne Terre with Pastor Alan David officiating. Inurnment will follow at 2:30 pm in Bonne Terre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
