Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Mary Petty, beloved wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, who entered eternal rest on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the age of 68.

Born on Wednesday, March 26, 1958, Kathleen made her home in Bonne Terre, Missouri, where she was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for family and friends.

Kathleen built a successful career in sales and management, working for many years at Dillard's, Famous Barr, and Macy's. She took great pride in her work and was admired for her professionalism, dedication, and warm personality that made everyone feel welcome.

Family was the center of Kathleen's life. She shared a loving marriage with her devoted husband, Raymond Petty. Although they did not have children together, Kathleen lovingly embraced Raymond's family as her own. She was the heart of the family, bringing everyone together with her compassion, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Kathleen enjoyed going to dinner with friends at Terre Du Lac Country Club, where she created countless treasured memories. She loved to go dancing and was an avid reader who could often be found enjoying a good book, and she found strength and comfort in her faith proudly attending Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Petty; stepchildren, Kenneth James R. (Eva) Petty and Carol R. Moran; her brother, Brian (Beverly) Bolger; her sister-in-law, Denise Bolger; six beloved grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
