It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth David Jones, affectionately known as David, who left us on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Washington, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 17, 1942, David was a loyal friend, dedicated father, and a steadfast member of his community. Throughout his life, David wore many hats.

He was a talented mechanic in the industrial sector, showcasing his skills and passion for fixing things. A proud member of the National Guard, he served his country with honor and integrity. David was also deeply involved in local affairs, serving on the board of the Lake Timberline Fire Department and contributing to the community as a member of the front board for Lake Timberline. David found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending countless hours with family and friends, especially at the Paddle Club, where laughter and camaraderie were always in abundance. He had a passion for the outdoors, frequently tending to his well-manicured yard, a testament to his love for nature and the beauty that surrounded him. 

He leaves behind a wonderful legacy through his children: Michele (Tracy) Denton, son David (Teresa) Jones, Michael (Shannon) Vierling, daughter Terri (Scott) Casey, and Kenneth (Kerri) Jones, II. grandchildren, Hayley Vierling, Adam Vierling, Luke Vierling, Molly Vierling, Jack Casey, Claire Casey, Kyle (Ashley) Jones, Kaitlyn Jones, Kelsey (Jon) Bouse, Amy (Chris) Wallace, Cody Denton, Addison Denton, Katie (Brian) Nappier and Sarah (Andy) Wagner each of them has been profoundly shaped by David's example of kindness, work ethic, and community spirit.

As we reflect on David's life, we remember a man who truly lived. His generous spirit and love for those around him will continue to inspire all who knew him. Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife Peggy Jones; parents, Norman and Mary (Patrick) Jones; siblings, Sharron Jones, Kindle Jones, Paul Jones.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
