Kenneth Joy Grigery Sr. of Des Arc, Missouri was born September 9, 1930 in Piedmont, Missouri the son of the late Willis Jackson and Ruth Marie (Mann) Grigery. Kenneth departed this life on July 21, 2018 in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 12 days. On February 14, 1953 Kenneth was united in marriage to Doris Jean Parton who preceded him in death on November 17, 2007. He is survived by his five loving children; Sandra Milam and husband, Bill of Belgrade, Missouri, Kenneth Grigery and wife, Brandy of Farmington, Missouri, Brenda Hamilton of Ironton, Missouri, James Grigery and wife, Rhonda of Des Arc, Missouri, and Kimberly Davis and husband, Terry of Piedmont, Missouri. Kenneth is also survived by his sister; Loretta Goodman of Kansas City, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Grigery. Kenneth was a graduate of Annapolis High School. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp from August 1951 to August 1953 during the Korean War. He was in Able Company as a machine gunner in the 5th Marine Division. He spent three months in boot camp and the remainder of his service on the front lines. Kenneth worked for Brown Shoe Company both in Ironton and Piedmont for fifteen years. He also worked for Empire Gas and Aberechi Construction. He will be missed by all who knew him.
