Mr. Kenneth Merrill Chapman passed away Sunday morning, October 5, 2014, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, in St. Louis County, Missouri, at the age of 66 years, 8 months & 18 days. Ken was born on January 17, 1948, in Kennett, Missouri, and was the son of Drexel Chapman and Dorothy O. 'Hardin' Chapman.

Ken was a member of Farmington ELKS Lodge #1765. He was also a member of the Capaha Antique Car Club of Cape Girardeau and Charter Member of the Mississippi Valley Packards of St. Louis, MO. Ken worked for Ozarks Federal Savings of Farmington for 30 years as a branch manager at both its Ironton & Fredericktown, MO., offices. Also, he was active in local civic organizations, including the chairmanship of 2 major Civil War Re-Enactments. Ken was an author of a number of published articles on local history and Packard history. He was a collector and specialist at Packard automobiles. Upon retirement, Ken worked on family genealogy compiling an extensive narrative. He also enjoyed reading, old movies, Cardinal baseball and Rock'&'Roll.

Survivors Include: a brother, Stephen W. Chapman, of Farmington. Aunts & Uncles: Ted & Virginia Chapman, of Farmington; David & Maxine Baker, of San Antonio, TX; Betty Harrington, of Eastman, GA; Si & Beverly Hardin, of Eastman, GA. Also surviving are numerous cousins.

Visitation : Thursday, 5-8 p.m., with a ELKS Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m.

Visitation resumes : Friday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Friday, 10:00 a.m., October 10, 2014

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Scott Hall officiating.

Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery - Farmington
