Kevin Charles Debrecht of Ironton, Missouri passed away suddenly on September 18, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 72 years. He was born June 28, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Carl John and Victoria E. (Dollard) Debrecht. Kevin was a graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry from Southeast Missouri State University. Kevin worked as the maintenance supervisor at Huffy Bicycles in Farmington and later for MOCAP in Farmington. In his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to ride his Harley and spend time with his special group of friends from Stix and Steins. They were a close bunch that looked out for each other. More than anything the role of Dad and Grandpa were the most special to him. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren more than anything. On August 13, 1976, Kevin was united in marriage to Debra Marie Mueller. They spent forty-one years together before she preceded him in death on December 13, 2017. They are the beloved parents of Jared Debrecht and wife, Bree of Annapolis, Missouri and Jarvis Debrecht and partner, Michael of St. Peters, Missouri. Four grandchildren are left to mourn their Grandpa: Malachi and Abigail Debrecht of Annapolis, and Maya and Nora Debrecht of St. Peters. Kevin was a sibling to three brothers: Stephen Debrecht and wife Karen of Afton, Missouri, Mark Debrecht and wife, Judy of High Ridge, Missouri, and the late John Debrecht and wife, Linda of Austin, Texas. Kevin’s dear friend and companion, Brenda Malone of Farmington became part of the family spending holidays and all types of family gatherings with them. Kevin and Brenda enjoyed spending time with each other watching the Three Stooges on Saturday, dinners, going out to the movies, and spoiling all the grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Harbison officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Graniteville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Backstoppers.
