Larry D Schlicher

Larry D. Schlicher, 79, life-long resident of St. Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023. He was born on April 21, 1943, to the late Edward and Odette (Schmeltz) Schlicher in St. Louis, Missouri. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Walter Schlicher.

He is survived by 2 daughters; Angela (Ryan) Neal and Carla (Swarup) Gupta and grandchildren; Meghan, Isabelle, Jacob, Alyssa and Isaac.

After graduating from Lane Tech High School in St. Louis MO in 1963, Larry went on to open his own cabinetry shop, L&C Wood, located in Webster Groves which he owned for almost 20 years. He was involved in Alcoholics Anonymous for almost 48 years and helped countless number of people live sober lives. He always celebrated milestones with those in the program by counting their days of sobriety.  On the day of his death, he had enjoyed 17, 469 days of sobriety.  He was a stubborn old man, but he had a big heart and loved people dearly.  He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. 

Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM in Potosi, Missouri at the Southern Baptist Church. Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the Harris House Foundation of St. Louis MO (https://harrishousestl.org/donate/)

Arrangements are under the direction of CZ Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
