Larry Philip Barton

            Larry Barton,72, of Bonne Terre, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center.  He was born on Friday, August 15, 1947, in Cadet to the late George Pearl and Gladys Marie (Rawe) Barton.  Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Bismarck Methodist Church, lifetime member of Bismarck VFW Post 6947 and a past member in the Rotary Club.   

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy Barton; brother-in-law, Gene Landolt; father and mother- in- law, Harold Landolt and wife Loretta.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Landolt) Barton; children, Lochie Jo Counts and husband Josh, Matt Barton and wife Beth; seven grandchildren, Maddie, Sydney, Josie, Brett, Sophie, Lilly and Bailey; sister, Peggy L. Peppers and husband Dale; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

           Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Visitation will resume 9 AM Friday, September 20, 2019 until service time at 11 AM at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Rick Lasley officiating. Interment will follow at Bismarck Odd Fellows Cemetery with full honors. Memorial donations may be made by the donor’s choice.
