Laverne Hutchison

Mrs. Marietta LaVerne Hutchison passed away Oct. 31, 2003, at her residence at the age of 87 years, 3 months & 1 day. LaVerne was born July 30, 1916, in Reyno, Ark., to James Marvin Odom & Mary Elizabeth 'Bryeans' Odom. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Register Hutchison (1992); 1 Daughter, Sue Henson; 2 Sons, Dade Hutchison & Rexford Hutchison; 3 Brothers: Marvin; Alef & Claudes Odom; 1 Half-Sister, Gracie Faye Odom; 2 Half-Brothers: Wilbur & Donnie Odom. Also, 2 Grandsons: Eric Hutchison & Donnie Jenkins. 2 Great-Grandchildren: Jessica Hutchison & Adam Lee. LaVerne was a member of the Knob Lick Baptist Church & known as "Miss LaVerne" at the Esther First Baptist Church Daycare. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: DAUGHTERS - Karen Dietchler, of Montana; Gloria Hutchison, St. Louis; Dixie (& Chuck) Sabat, St. Louis; LaVerne "Bernie" (Mrs. Del) Harvey, Buffalo, MO; Debbie (Mrs. Jerry) Lee, Farmington; SONS - Rod (& Glo) Hutchison, Indiana; Craig Hutchison, Farmington; Carl (& Janice) Hutchison, Minnesota; Owen (& Darlene) Hutchison, Maplewood; Glenn Hutchison (& partner, Mike Threadgill), St. Louis; BROTHER: Chester Paul Odom, Austin, TX; 30 Grandchildren; 35 Great-Grandchildren & 1 Great, Great-Grandchild. Visitation, Friday, 6-9 p.m., resuming Saturday at 7 am & funeral Saturday, 2 pm, Nov. 1, 2003, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Danny Berry & Rev. Charles Brown officiating.
