Lawrence "Uncle Cochise" Black

Lawrence Black, 43, of Park Hills passed away April 17, 2023. He was born July 21, 1979, in, St. Louis, to Nelson Redrock and Donna (Black) Kascoli. He attended and was baptized at Parkland Chapel in Farmington. Lawrence was known as Uncle Cochise to most kids he met. Being silly and child-like himself, it makes sense, why every kid he encountered loved him so much. It was hard for anyone to meet him and not like him. At the very least, he would get you to smile. Uncle Cochise was goofy and always laughing and making jokes. He was a kind soul with a big heart. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. Most of all, he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Kascoli, Sr.; brother, Bernie Kascoli, Jr; grandmother, Janet Black; and brother in-law, Michael Davis.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Chyanna (Logan Tucker) Black and Talen Black; grandson, Brentley Black; sister, Susan Michelle Davis; nieces, Ashley Buntion, Reagan Davis and Shaylin Davis; nephew, William Davis; and great nephew, Elijah White.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 12:30 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Ronnie Dane will be officiating. Interment will follow at Knight of Pythias Cemetery in Ironton. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home, to help with funeral expenses.
