Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lee A. Bischoff, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on Tuesday, June 20, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Leo M. Bischoff and Wilma (Evans) Romine. Lee’s life was a testament to faith, family, and the enduring bonds of love that held them together.

For over four decades, Lee worked diligently as a land surveyor, finding purpose and pride in his craft as he traveled throughout Missouri, shaping the land while connecting with the community. A faithful member of Cadet Baptist Church since 2007, he poured his heart into his ministry, through the Disaster Relief of Missouri, as a Chaplain, and speaking at numerous Men’s meeting at church, as well as mentoring the youth and VBS. His passion also extended to ham radio, where he connected with countless individuals across the airwaves, sharing bible scripture every Tuesday evening for 13 years, with commentary with his wife Micki, opening and closing prayer through his bible network and building friendships that transcended distance.

Lee enjoyed the outdoors and treasured the time he spent fishing and hunting with his sons and grandsons. Whether hunting deer, turkey, rabbit, or squirrel, he appreciated the fellowship, the quiet beauty of nature, and the memories made along the way. Above all, Lee’s life was guided by his love for the Lord, his family, his church family, and the many people whose lives he touched.

For nearly 64 years, Lee was the devoted husband to Mildred affectionally known as “Micki”, a partnership filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they nurtured a family that includes their sons, Bradley (Colleen) and Brett (Dana), Rudy (Amy) Bischoff. Lee leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to his eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law Eugene (JoAnn) Zoellner along with several nieces and nephews.

Along with Lee’s parents he is preceded in death by his two sisters.

The family is planning a memorial service at later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
