Lee Roy Sharp, 97, of Farmington entered his heavenly home on April 18, 2022 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born December 27, 1924 in Mill Spring, MO to the late Roy and Mae (Ijames) Sharp. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in the South Pacific and New Guinea. He was a long-time member of the Open Heart Assembly of God in Farmington where he served as a deacon. After retiring he enjoyed traveling the United States, golfing, fishing, gardening and yard work. He loved his family and church family and enjoyed getting together with them.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Selma and Ruby; one brother, John; step-grandson, Andy; three step-great-grandchildren, Derek, Erica and Emerson.
Lee is survived by his wife, Ruby Alice (Miller) Sharp; brother, Paul; seven step-children, Steve (Diane), Becky (Cal), Lee (Cindi), Debbie (Tony), Charlene (Larry), Marlene (Bob), Leanne (Mike); several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Jan and Kathy. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel with Rev. Kevin Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Open Heart Assembly of God.
