Lela Marie Gilmore

Lela Marie Gilmore, age 83 of Ironton, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Iron County Medical Center in Pilot Knob, Missouri. She was born on June 18, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri to James and Lela Marie (Barton) Cummings.

On August 23, 2001, in Illinois she was united in marriage to Howard Ray Gilmore, he survives at the home.  Other survivors include son – William Shelton; stepdaughter – Debbie Brown and two grandchildren.

Lela was owner of Schmidt construction company in St. Louis; she loved taking care of her home and was an avid quilter; she was of the Pentecostal faith.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.
