Lena Mae Pope

Lena Mae Pope, 79 of French Village, formerly of DeSoto, passed away April 8, 2013 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. She was born December 2, 1933 in Mineral Point. She was a proud grandmother that loved her grandkids greatly.She was preceded in death by her parents, E.C. "Buck" Mason and Eliza (Jarvis) Mason; sister, MelbaThornhill; brother, Clifford Mason; brother-in-law, Thomas E. Wright.Lena is survived by her husband, Raymond Pope; two children, Colleen Weiler and Wayne Pope and wife Beth; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Mrs. Terry) Bourisaw, Kara Burt, Caitlin Pope, Will Pope, Matthew Weiler; two great-grandchildren, Camden and Josilyn; sister, Mary L. Wright. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 4:30 until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer& Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Friday at 9:30 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. John Schneider officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in DeSoto. Memorials may be made to the Josilyn Mae Bourisaw Benefit.
