Leoma Jewell Cox

Leoma "Jewell" Cox, age 84 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Center in Fredericktown. She was born May 14, 1934 in Brunot, Missouri, a daughter of Orville James and Dora Mae (Morris) Rutherford. On August 30, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri she was united in marriage to Howard Edward Cox, he survives in Fredericktown. Other survivors include: three sons – Gavin (Diane) Cox of Deslodge, Missouri, Shane (Missy) Cox and Shannon Cox both of Fredericktown; two brothers – Danny and David Rutherford both of St. Louis; three sisters - Kathy Scott of Texas, Ruth Carque of Marquand, Missouri and Rosetta Roberts of Fredericktown; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Jewell was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, working puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Bess officiating. Interment will be at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Fredericktown.
