Leon Epley

          Leon Epley, 93, of Williamsville, passed away September 29, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  He was born December 23, 1928, in Williamsville, to the late Hugh and Pearl (Gilbert) Epley.  Leon served his country in the Korean War.  He was of Baptist faith and a member of VFW #6883 in Bonne Terre.  Leon loved fishing, hunting and gardening.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 71 years, Emma (Coleman) Epley; siblings, Edward, Eugene, Marvin and Lloyd Epley, Mildred Spink, Lorene Weber, Ilene Sharp and Nadine Faulkner.

          Leon is survived by his two sons, Larry Epley and wife Roxanne, Michael Epley and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Joshua (Lori) Epley and Rebekah Fenske; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Elijah, and Landon Epley, Lexi Bierman, Arizona and Gabriel Fenske; several nieces and nephews also survive.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
