Leon Harris

Mr. Leon Harris passed away Christmas morning, December 25, 2012, at his Maple Wood Special Care Center residence, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 80 years, 4 months & 5 days. Leon was the son of Clarence Elza Harris and Hazel 'Bradley' Harris, and was born on August 20, 1932, in Flat River, Missouri. Leon was preceded-in-death by: his wife, Dorris Virginia 'Reed' Harris, (Dec. 19, 2011); 1 Brother: Bud Harris and 2 Sisters: Glenda Gibson & Louise Starnes..

Leon is a member of the Kimberling City First Baptist Church and a former member of Farmington First Baptist Church. Leon was a US NAVY Veteran of The Korean War. Leon was a retired Machinist from American Can Company in Pevely.

Survivors include: a son, Jeff (& Laura) Harris, of Ozark MO. A daughter, Sherri (& Charles) Garrett, of Monticello, MS. A siser, Alma Rhodes, of Arlington, TX. 2 Sisters-In-Law: Marilyn Harris, of Terre du Lac, MO; and Clara (& Ronnie) Grimes, of Farmington. 2 Brothers-In-Law: Rev. Charles (& Pat) Reed, of Archie, MO; John (& Dotty) Reed, of Farmington. Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren: Adam & Cassie Garrett; Jacob & Leah Harris.
