It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leota Fern Brown who departed from us Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Born Friday, June 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Emma (Jones) King. Leota loved spending quiet afternoons with a good book or a crochet project.

In addition to her parents, Leota was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Huey Brown; son, Terry Brown; and grandson, Jeremy Brown. She is survived by her son, Michael Brown; grandchildren: Sommer and Rachel; four (4) great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A visitation service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Homes-Bryson Chapel in Pilot Knob on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 4:30-7 PM and will resume at 9 AM Tuesday, July 7, 2026, until the service time at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Brent Reed. Interment will be at Meadows Cemetery in Iron County. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Homes-Bryson Chapel.
