Leslie Denise Gunning

            Denise Gunning, 57, of Bismarck, passed away February 21, 2016. She was born May 8, 1958, in St. Louis, to Marvin “Bud” and Shirley (Rehkop) Phares. Denise was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

              She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, David Golden; and her father, Marvin “Bud” Phares.

             Denise is survived by her husband, Mike Gunning; two sons, Chris Golden and wife Ginger of Bismarck, Billy (Shelly Bishop) Golden of Farmington; mother, Shirley Phares; five grandchildren, Jordan (Taylor Cole) Golden, Clayton (Melissa Craig) Golden, Carson Golden, Tanner Smith, and Raven Smith; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Carter; two sisters, Kimberly (Mrs. Steve) Warren, and Suzanne Roland, all of Desloge; many nieces and nephews also survive.

             Family will accept friends at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 3:00 PM to service time at 5:00 PM. Rev. Greg McCord will be officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Park Hills.
