LESTER THOMAS DUNLAPLester Thomas Dunlap, age 88, of Leadwood, Missouri passed away November 24, 2010 at his residence.He was born July 30, 1922 in Wortham, MO, son of the late Thomas Leonard and Isabelle (Clark) Dunlap.He was also preceded by one son, Larry Louis Dunlap; son-in-law, Kenny Perry; six sisters; Jessie Bradley, Ruby Graves, Violet Beckett, Georgia Lawson, Zelda Juergensmeyer, and Leona York; two brothers, Clifford "Doc" Dunlap and Joseph "Sam" Dunlap; niece, June Allen; nephew, Dwight Bradley.Lester is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, 3 months, Lorene (Minks) Dunlap; one son, Thomas "Tom" Dunlap (Mary Ann) of Leadwood; one daughter, Diane Perry of Desloge; one grandson, Dale Thomas Dunlap (Brooke ONeail) of Park Hills; three granddaughters; Maria Sansoucie (Billy) of Park Hills, Kendra Perry of Clayton, Marissa Dunlap of Leadwood; three great-grandchildren; Marrah Sansoucie of Park Hills, Noah Thomas Sansoucie of Park Hills, and Talyn Halter of Leadwood; two canine "Best Friends", Bandit and Salvadore; two brothers, Carl "Tug" Dunlap (Erma) of Leadwood, Obie Dunlap; two sisters, Hilma Roderick of Wentzville, Martha Green of Farmington, and his Church family.Lester faithfully attended Irondale First Church of God. He served in World War II with Merills Marauders in the Burma Campaign. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, rock and arrowhead collector in his younger years.Visitation is Friday, November 26, 2010 at 4:00 PM at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Leadwood. Services are 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 27, 2010 at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Leadwood with Rev. Edgar Green officiating assisted by Robert Nash. Interment is in Leadwood Cemetery.
